Torrent Flow ("Torrent Flow," "we," "us," or "our") provides a client communication and workflow platform for freelancers and small businesses, including inbox management, follow-ups, contacts, AI-assisted replies, invoicing, and payment features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and your choices. By using Torrent Flow, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to our web application and related services, users who create an account and use Torrent Flow, and individuals whose information is processed by our users through the app (for example, contacts, message recipients, and invoice recipients), to the extent applicable.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services that you connect to Torrent Flow (such as Google Gmail or Stripe), which are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account Information

B. Google Account / Gmail Data (if you connect Gmail)

- - Email content/body (including message text and/or HTML content) as needed to display messages and support app features
- - Sent message data when you send email through the app
C. App Data You Create or Store
- - Conversations and message records
- - Contacts (names, emails, phone numbers, company/title, notes, tags, and photos)
- - Follow-ups/tasks and reminders
- - Labels, automation rules, and settings
- - Invoice data (invoice title, recipient details, descriptions, amounts, and branding/template settings)
- - Preferences and onboarding progress
D. AI Feature Inputs and Outputs
- - Message content and context you choose to send for AI assistance
- - Prompts, tone/length settings, and custom instructions
- - AI-generated draft outputs
E. Billing and Payments Information
- - Subscription status and billing metadata
- - Stripe customer IDs, subscription IDs, checkout session IDs, and invoice/payment status
- - Stripe Connect account status/metadata (if you connect Stripe to receive payments)
We do not store full payment card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe.
F. Technical and Usage Information

- - IP address (via hosting/infrastructure logs)

- - Basic usage activity needed to operate and secure the service
3. How We Use Information
- - Provide, operate, and maintain Torrent Flow
- - Authenticate users and secure accounts
- - Sync and display Gmail messages you authorize us to access
- - Send emails on your behalf when you use the send feature
- - Manage contacts, follow-ups, labels, and workflow features
- - Generate AI-assisted drafts when you request them
- - Create and manage invoices and payment flows
- - Process subscriptions and billing
- - Provide support and respond to requests
- - Monitor performance, debug issues, and improve reliability
- - Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- - Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. Google API / Gmail Data Use and Limited Use Compliance
If you connect Gmail, Torrent Flow accesses Google user data only to provide user-facing features that are visible and prominent in the app, such as inbox sync, message display, and sending email on your behalf.
We do not:
- - Sell Google user data
- - Use Google user data for advertising
- - Use Google user data for creditworthiness or lending decisions
- - Use Google user data to build or train generalized AI/ML models
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
A. Service Providers / Processors
We use third-party providers to operate the service, such as Google (Gmail APIs and authentication-related services), Firebase / Google Cloud, Vercel, OpenAI (for AI features), Stripe (for subscriptions, invoicing, and Stripe Connect), and SMS or messaging providers if SMS features are enabled.
B. At Your Direction
We share information when you instruct the app to do so, including sending an email, creating a payment or invoice checkout, or using AI features on content you submit.
C. Legal Compliance and Protection
We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and security of Torrent Flow, our users, or others.
D. Business Transfers
If Torrent Flow is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain your account and requested features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

- - Billing/payment records may be retained as required by law
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and secure infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices and Controls
A. Gmail Access and Revocation
You can disconnect or revoke Gmail access through app settings (if available) and/or your Google Account security settings. Revoking access may disable Gmail-dependent features.
B. Access, Update, and Delete
You can update much of your data inside the app (for example, contacts, notes, and settings). You may also request account deletion by contacting us.
C. Billing and Payments
Billing and payment details are managed through Stripe. You may also manage certain subscription settings through Stripe-hosted flows where provided.
D. Cookies / Local Storage
We may use essential browser storage (including local storage) and similar technologies to maintain sessions, preferences, UI state, and core functionality.
9. AI Features
If you use AI features, content you submit (such as message text and related context) may be sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We use AI processing only to provide the feature you request.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outputs before sending or relying on them.
10. Payments, Invoices, and Stripe Connect
If you use invoicing or payment features, payment processing is provided by Stripe and/or Stripe Connect. We may store billing and payment metadata (for example, IDs and status), but not full card details.
If you connect a Stripe account to receive payments, we may store connected account status and related metadata needed to operate payout and payment features.
11. Children's Privacy
Torrent Flow is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own. By using Torrent Flow, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable law.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice.
